About the position

The Research Scientist position at Biostate AI involves executing research and development protocols crucial for the company's mission to build a foundational model of biology. This role focuses on predicting health and disease evolution through advanced data analysis and experimental design, ultimately aiming to enhance human healthspan and support biopharma drug development.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and execute experiments, identifying necessary resources.
• Design experiments and perform data analysis using specific tools and software.
• Summarize different variables included in the experiments.
• Perform modifications on mature algorithms as needed.
• Interpret data to identify information content and formulate hypotheses.
• Communicate effectively with technicians and peers to ensure proper execution of experiments.
• Present results to internal and external parties effectively.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• PhD degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant research experience.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Highly organized and motivated with a willingness to learn and grow.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced understanding of molecular biology techniques such as PCR and NGS.
• Basic to advanced understanding of statistics, molecular biology, gene expression analysis, and bioinformatics.
