About the position

Responsibilities

• Lead the formulation, development, and optimization of new programs, designs, and prototypes.
• Participate in research formulating and writing with other staff.
• Assess new technologies and future applications of technologies.
• Propose, plan, and manage research projects, report preparation, and presentation of findings.
• Apply for grants to continue their research.
• Mentor, train, and/or coach junior research scientists as required.
• Stay up to date on developments within their field through methods such as reading academic journals, attending training programs, and attending conferences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific discipline.
• 1 year of experience in process engineering or chemical engineering.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Background in Chemistry, Material Science, or Chemical Engineering.
• Formulation and process experience with hydrogel and contact lens care is desired.
• Ability to write reports and communicate effectively to internal customers.
