About the position

The Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Cancer Biology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking a Research Scientist to join the lab of Dr. Kwon Park. This position is designed for individuals whose primary responsibilities will include research, with minimal or no obligations for classroom instruction. The successful candidate will be part of a highly collaborative research group, contributing to the development of research grant proposals and potentially pursuing independent research funding that complements the ongoing research in the lab. Candidates must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, evidenced by a solid track record of scientific manuscripts and presentations. The role is primarily sedentary, involving extensive use of desktop computers, and may occasionally require travel to attend meetings and programs.

Responsibilities

Requirements
