About the position

The Research Senior Associate in the Oncology Drug Discovery Unit at Takeda is responsible for providing onsite in vivo technical support and coordination for research project teams. This full-time role requires flexibility to work weekends and weekdays, focusing on executing key tasks for multiple studies, contributing to the design and development of studies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance therapeutic modalities towards preclinical and clinical stages.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite in vivo technical support for research project teams.
• Independently execute studies, perform data analysis, and present results to project teams.
• Handle and care for mice and other rodents, including tumor implantation and dosing.
• Implement study protocols in compliance with IACUC guidelines.
• Support weekend in vivo work and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Contribute to ongoing in vivo work and administrative tasks during weekdays.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations between weekdays and weekends.
• Conduct complex experiments and analyze data using software such as GraphPad PRISM and FlowJo.
• Maintain quality electronic laboratory notebook records and technical reports.

Requirements

• MS in a scientific discipline with 1+ years relevant experience, or BS with 3+ years relevant experience.
• Experience with data analysis software such as FlowJo and GraphPad Prism.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Strong team player in a dynamic, biotech-like environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of data analysis programs such as GraphPad PRISM, Microsoft Excel, FlowJo FACS analysis, and Nanostring transcriptome analysis.
