About the position

The Research Study Assistant will support cancer research activities by implementing study protocols, recruiting participants, collecting data, and conducting assessments. This role involves close collaboration with the Principal Investigator and the research team to ensure the successful execution of ongoing studies, as well as providing administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Principal Investigator and staff in cancer research activities including participant recruitment and data collection.
  • Conduct participant interviews and assessments as per study protocols.
  • Organize and prepare study materials and assist with presentations.
  • Track and maintain records of recruitment and participation in studies.
  • Administer informed consent and collect measures at study assessments.
  • Follow study protocol procedures and suggest updates or changes as necessary.
  • Assist with data analysis, including data cleaning and transcription of interviews.
  • Conduct literature searches and prepare written reports on relevant topics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field.
  • General experience working in cancer research, public health, or behavioral science.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in an Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Vietnamese, Korean, etc.) is preferred.
  • NPA-CPT - Certified Phlebotomist Tech certification.
