The Research Study Assistant (Per Diem) position at Temple University Health System is primarily focused on supporting cancer research projects and studies. The assistant will also be responsible for study registration, communicating study objectives and procedures to participants, scheduling appointments, administering informed consent, and collecting data during study assessments. Additionally, the role requires organizing and preparing study materials, as well as assisting in the preparation of presentations and other relevant materials. The assistant will follow study protocol procedures, providing input for necessary changes and updates to survey instruments and data collection methods. They will also track and maintain records of participant recruitment and participation, ensuring that all confidential study files and records are organized and secure. Proficiency in Microsoft programs, particularly Excel and Word, as well as familiarity with research programs like Epic and Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap), is essential for this role. Moreover, the assistant will assist with data analysis, including data cleaning and interview transcription, and will conduct literature searches and reviews to prepare written reports as needed. The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing conditions is crucial, especially during peak periods that may involve tight deadlines and high-stress situations. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Asian languages such as Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Korean, are preferred for this position.
