About the position

The Researcher position at CIRCLE, Tisch College Tufts University, is a 24-month limited term role focused on quantitative research and evaluation projects related to youth civic engagement. The researcher will contribute to all phases of research, including data collection, analysis, and dissemination of insights to stakeholders. This role emphasizes collaboration, data management, and the application of statistical methods to support civic engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the execution of all phases of research and evaluation projects.
  • Support lead researcher and data analyst on projects focused on voter registration and civic engagement in higher education.
  • Manage and analyze large quantitative data sets.
  • Conduct desktop research and literature reviews.
  • Produce reports based on research findings.
  • Create data collection instruments and manage data workflow processes.
  • Perform data cleaning, quality checks, and documentation.
  • Communicate and disseminate data-driven insights to various stakeholders.
  • Support outreach and partnership management for projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or demonstrated competencies in relevant skills.
  • Three (3) years of related experience in research, data analysis, or program evaluation.
  • Proficiency in statistical software, preferably R.
  • Experience with descriptive and inferential statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of logic models, research design, multivariate statistics, and hypothesis testing.
  • Foundation in quantitative methods and ability to design and conduct quantitative research.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with data visualization and maintaining data management systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project deliverables and timelines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
