About the position
The position involves completing section plan-o-gram work on a scheduled weekly basis in a grocery store environment. The employee will be responsible for reading and understanding plan-o-grams, collecting necessary materials, and preparing the work area to complete section resets. This includes breaking down sections in an orderly manner, repositioning shelving, placing products according to updated schematics, and cleaning up the work area. The employee must also complete forms and report section completion to Kroger and immediate supervisors. The role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining professionalism and a good relationship with store management and staff. Compliance with guidelines established for KOMPASS employees is essential, especially regarding timeliness, productivity, teamwork, communication, and clocking in/out guidelines. Safe lifting practices must be followed, and during periods of reduced regular scheduled hours, employees may be responsible for additional store support outside of their normal essential job functions.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand plan-o-grams
- Collect plan-o-grams, new item tags, and new item products
- Prepare work area to complete section reset
- Break down sections in an orderly manner
- Re-position shelving and place product according to updated schematic
- Clean up work area
- Complete forms and report section completion to Kroger and supervisors
- Work independently with little supervision
- Maintain professionalism when dealing with customers
- Maintain good relationships with store management and staff
- Comply with KOMPASS employee guidelines
- Practice safe lifting
- Provide additional store support during reduced hours
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read and understand plan-o-grams
- Fluency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
- A smartphone with internet/data access is required
- Must provide personal tape measure and safety gloves
