About the position

The Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator I is responsible for coordinating the academic, operational, and financial activities of the residency program. This role involves assisting in the development of educational and administrative goals, managing residency program structure, and providing guidance on residency program issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative oversight for all residency and fellowship related items, including handling inquiries and maintaining residency program files.
  • Ensures compliance with departmental policies and residency program requirements, including submitting duty hour reports and tracking evaluations.
  • Manages schedules and resident attendance for educational activities, maintaining the residency curriculum and training manual.
  • Oversees the resident/fellow recruitment process, including scheduling interviews and confirming applicant credentials.
  • Implements residency management software modules, managing data and providing user training.
  • Develops and maintains program letters of agreement for required rotations at outside institutions.
  • May be assigned routine budget or financial responsibilities by supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of related experience required; experience in an academic setting preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with residency management and physician scheduling software preferred.
