Resident Assistant: Full-Time or Part-Time/ 2nd Shift

About the position

Provision Living is seeking a reliable, supportive, and caring individual for the position of Resident Assistant. This role is essential in providing support and care to residents, particularly older adults, in their daily activities while fostering independence and promoting individuality. The Resident Assistant will work in a culture of care and support, ensuring residents' well-being and overall experience is optimized.

Responsibilities

• Support, encourage and assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing support and medication reminders.
• Escort residents to the dining room and other activity events as needed.
• Respond promptly to the Emergency Call System to assist residents with their needs.
• Report to Management any deviations or changes observed in residents.
• Deliver meal trays to apartments of residents upon request.
• Assist with housekeeping, including cleaning resident apartments, common areas, and laundry duties.
• Assist with meal service, including serving meals to residents and cleaning up afterwards.
• Cross train and share in duties as needed in all areas, including visitor tours and helping with activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• CNA and First Aid certification preferred.
• 0-2 years of previous work experience.
• Ability to clearly communicate with residents, employees, resident families, and visitors.
• Ability to read and interpret general directives.
• Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship with staff, families, and residents.
