About the position

The Caregiver/Resident Assistant position at Generations Senior Living involves providing personal care and assistance to residents, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence. This role is essential in maintaining a supportive environment for residents and requires effective communication with nursing staff and adherence to facility protocols.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that personal care and assistance with activities of daily living are performed in a timely and caring manner as outlined in the resident's service plan.
• Aid residents with dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and escorting as scheduled and as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the nursing department, between shifts, and with other departments.
• Report observations and changes in the resident to nurses.
• Perform monthly vitals and weights for each resident and record this information.
• Ensure resident trust and confidentiality.
• Ensure resident safety and help to provide a clean and sanitary environment.
• Adhere to Infection Control protocols, Facility Policies and Procedures, and Emergency Operations Plan at all times.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Pass criminal records check.
• Meet physical requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Caregiving experience preferred but not necessary.
• Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant license.
• Valid First Aid Certification.
