About the position

The Resident Care Aide at Morningside House of Exton plays a crucial role in providing assistance to residents with their daily activities, ensuring they maintain their dignity and quality of life. This position is essential in a personal care and memory care community, where the aide supports residents emotionally and socially while adhering to safety and confidentiality protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and escort service.
• Follows the schedule of resident's needs set by the supervisor.
• Documents daily log of assistance provided to residents.
• Informs supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Encourages the independence and dignity of the residents.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents' information.
• Familiarizes with emergency equipment and procedures.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention and safe practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three months related experience and/or training.

Nice-to-haves

• Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant license.
• Valid Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification.
