About the position

The Resident Care Companion or STNA position at Danbury Senior Living focuses on providing compassionate care to residents in a senior living community. The role involves assisting residents with daily personal care routines and engaging them in activities that enhance their quality of life. The position is available in various shifts, including full-time and part-time options, and requires a commitment to building meaningful relationships with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily personal care routines such as showers, bathing, and personal hygiene.
• Help residents prepare for and escort them to meals, activities, social programs, and appointments.
• Engage with residents in activities of daily living and provide companionship.
• Assist residents with various other daily needs as necessary.

Requirements

• STNA certification required for STNA positions.
• No certification required for Resident Care Companion positions.
• Experience working in a similar capacity in a Senior Living setting is helpful but not required.
• A great outlook, cheerful disposition, and love of seniors are a must.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a senior living environment is preferred.
