About the position

The Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) at Mount Angel Towers is a full-time role focused on ensuring high-quality care for residents in an assisted living environment. The RCC collaborates with the Assisted Living Administrator and nursing staff to maintain compliance with regulations, enhance resident satisfaction, and manage staffing effectively. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask while providing compassionate support to elderly residents.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure care records are up to date
  • Maintain confidentiality with resident and fellow employee information
  • Notify LPN, RN and Administrator of resident changes
  • Ensure that services are delivered according to Resident Service Plans
  • Document information pertaining to changes in residents' status, needs, and appointments
  • Ensure proper documentation of all care plans, nurses' notes, and all other resident documentation
  • Contact doctor's offices for medical history and medication instructions
  • Document out agency visits into resident charts
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly audits
  • Assist in scheduling staff and temp agency staff
  • Greet any new residents and conduct regular check-ins
  • Assist with Assisted Living tours and marketing materials
  • Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment
  • Coordinator helps with staffing and may work caregiver/med tech shifts

Requirements

  • Ability to pass background and drug test
  • Completed first aid and CPR training (or ability to complete)
  • Age 18 years or older
  • Enjoy working with the elderly
  • Able to handle complaints graciously
  • Ability to work with public, visitors, and residents in a tactful manner
  • Dependable and good communication
  • Able to follow directions and complete tasks
  • Must have patience, be cheerful, and remain enthusiastic
  • Well-groomed and adhere to dress code
  • Frequent lifting requirement of less than or equal to 20 lbs., occasional lifting requirement of greater than or equal to 50 lbs.
