Participation in job-related training and development is also a key aspect of this role, ensuring that the technician remains knowledgeable about company and competitor products. Inventory control is another critical function of this position. The technician will be responsible for managing the parts inventory on the service truck while in the field and ensuring that personal tools are accounted for and maintained. The technician will perform basic diagnostics to determine necessary repairs, advise customers on replacement parts, and test mechanical products and equipment post-repair to ensure compliance and proper performance. Completing all required reports and forms related to work orders, including warranty information, is essential to maintain accurate records and facilitate smooth operations.
