About the position

The Resident Field Technician at Pape' Material Handling, Inc. is responsible for diagnosing and repairing material handling equipment at customer locations. This role emphasizes the importance of maintaining equipment performance to maximize uptime, while also providing excellent customer service. Technicians will receive extensive training and support to enhance their skills and career growth within the company.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair material handling equipment at customer locations.
• Ensure equipment is running in peak form to maximize uptime.
• Travel to various locations in a fully loaded service vehicle.
• Interact with customers to provide top-notch service and support.

Requirements

• Journeyman skill level in diagnosing and repairing equipment, preferably in the material handling industry.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Must provide own tools.
• Must reside in the assigned area of the region.

Nice-to-haves

• Electric forklift experience.
