About the position

The Resident General Manager at Restaurant Associates is responsible for overseeing a large multi-unit corporate dining account, ensuring operational excellence and financial success. This role involves mentoring associates, managing day-to-day operations, and maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations for a multi-unit corporate dining account.
• Audit units to ensure compliance with company and government standards regarding food storage, preparation, sanitation, and record keeping.
• Manage and lead a team of associates across multiple locations while maintaining strong client relations.
• Plan, analyze budgets, and report for the account.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines to promote consistent application.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of foodservice management with a proven track record of success.
• Interact professionally with a diverse group of associates, peers, managers, suppliers, clients, and customers.
• Embrace excellence in customer service for both internal and external customers.
• Assist customers, clients, peers, and subordinates with initiative and good judgment.
• Administer personnel policies consistently and fairly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in food service within corporate dining, education, healthcare, or military.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial and business insight.
• Ability to think critically and implement action plans.
• Excellent computer skills, including advanced spreadsheet proficiency.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
