About the position

The position coordinates general business office activities of an apartment community. The individual will be the first point of contact with residents, providing high levels of customer service and addressing questions or concerns. Responsibilities include preparing service requests, maintaining knowledge of leasing policies, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role also involves administrative functions such as answering phone calls, typing and proofreading materials, scheduling appointments, and managing package deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates general business office activities of an apartment community.
  • Communicates with residents and families regarding questions or concerns and resolves issues or refers them to appropriate associates.
  • Prepares service requests and works closely with service contractors to ensure jobs are handled appropriately.
  • Maintains working knowledge of leasing policies and procedures and performs functions related to leasing and lease renewal.
  • Ensures effective and appropriate implementation of policies in accordance with Corporate Office and Fair Housing policies and procedures.
  • Maintains knowledge of company policies, local, state, and Federal laws, and affordable housing programs to ensure compliance.
  • Receives, logs, and distributes packages to residents and obtains signatures for package delivery.
  • Performs administrative functions including answering and screening telephone calls, typing and proofreading materials, preparing routine correspondence, scheduling appointments, screening and distributing incoming mail, maintaining files and records, scheduling meeting rooms, and ensuring deposits are paid and contracts are signed.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Vocational training or some college courses completed is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience is required.
  • Good customer service skills are necessary.
  • Good communication skills are necessary.
