About the position

We are seeking a skilled Resident Solutions Engineer (RSE) with expertise in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and proficiency in HashiCorp Solutions, particularly Terraform. The selected candidate will work closely with the IT Enterprise Operations team to provide comprehensive support for the deployment, management, and integration of HashiCorp Terraform Solutions as part of the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiative. This role is critical in ensuring that our infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure, aligning with best practices and compliance standards. As a Resident Solutions Engineer, you will collaborate with HashiCorp Solution Engineers (SE) and the technical team to develop roadmaps and technical execution plans for the deployment and management of HashiCorp Solutions. You will execute deployment plans, manage Terraform configuration, and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes, ensuring alignment with guidelines and best practices. Additionally, you will assist in the creation of customer-specific support documentation, including runbooks, playbooks, and other materials related to the integration and management of HashiCorp Solutions. Your responsibilities will also include supporting the team in applying software patches and upgrades in non-production environments, ensuring a secure and resilient infrastructure. You will consult with stakeholders to guide the integration of endorsed third-party tools with HashiCorp Terraform and assist in operational planning to enhance overall reliability and scalability. Throughout all phases of the engagement, you will ensure compliance with HashiCorp methodologies and standards, working closely with SE and RSA to resolve issues and optimize configurations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with HashiCorp Solution Engineers (SE) and the technical team to develop roadmaps and technical execution plans for the deployment and management of HashiCorp Solutions.
• Execute deployment plans, manage Terraform configuration, and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes, ensuring alignment with guidelines and best practices.
• Assist in the creation of customer-specific support documentation, including runbooks, playbooks, and other materials related to the integration and management of HashiCorp Solutions.
• Support the team in applying software patches and upgrades in non-production environments, ensuring a secure and resilient infrastructure.
• Consult with stakeholders to guide the integration of endorsed third-party tools with HashiCorp Terraform and assist in operational planning to enhance overall reliability and scalability.
• Ensure compliance with HashiCorp methodologies and standards during all phases of the engagement, working closely with SE and RSA to resolve issues and optimize configurations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation.
• Proficient in HashiCorp Terraform, with hands-on experience in automating infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
• Strong background in integrating HashiCorp Solutions with third-party tools and ensuring seamless operation of IaC processes in a secure environment.
• Proven ability to create and manage detailed support documentation, including runbooks, playbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Experience in applying software patches and upgrades in non-production environments.
• Strong understanding of compliance standards and the ability to enforce adherence to established guidelines and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a history of working closely with SEs, RSAs, and other engineering stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications in HashiCorp Terraform or other relevant certifications.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise organizations.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, automation, and the principles of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
