The Resident Support Specialist (RSS) at the Lighthouse plays a crucial role in maintaining a stable and therapeutic environment for residents. This position involves assisting residents in learning community integration, providing exposure to supportive services, and encouraging participation in various activities including social, educational, vocational, psychiatric, and rehabilitative. The RSS is also responsible for household management tasks such as meal preparation and housekeeping, overseeing clients engaged in these tasks, and providing transportation and supervision for clients leaving the facility. During night shifts, the RSS is tasked with supervising the facility, monitoring security cameras, and enforcing program rules under the direction of the on-call management team.
