About the position

Aspire Audio Video Solutions is seeking a skilled Residential AV Technician to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This position plays a crucial role in the successful implementation and installation of luxury lighting and technology solutions for residential clients. The Technician will be responsible for executing installation projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and client specifications. With a focus on providing exceptional experiences, the Technician will utilize their technical expertise and attention to detail to enhance the way clients experience technology in their everyday lives. In this role, you will design, install, and maintain state-of-the-art audiovisual systems, including home theaters, media rooms, distributed audio, and video systems. You will also be tasked with installing and troubleshooting low voltage electrical components, structured cabling, video surveillance, and access control systems. Programming and configuring Control 4 systems and other home automation platforms will be a key responsibility, along with conducting site surveys to understand client AV needs and preferences. Collaboration with team members is essential to ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. You will provide training and support to clients on the use of their AV systems, maintaining accurate records of installations, service calls, and client interactions. Staying up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends is crucial for success in this position, as it allows you to provide the best service possible to our valued clients.

Responsibilities

  • Design, install, and maintain residential audiovisual systems, including home theaters, media rooms, distributed audio, and video systems.
  • Install and troubleshoot low voltage electrical components, structured cabling, video surveillance, and access control systems.
  • Program and configure Control 4 systems and other home automation platforms.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an AV Technician.
  • Proven experience installing and maintaining low voltage electrical components, structured cabling, video surveillance, access control, and audio visual systems.
  • Strong knowledge of residential AV systems and home automation platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex AV systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Willingness to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CEDIA, InfoComm, etc.) are preferred.
