The City of Los Angeles, through its Department of Recreation and Parks, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for the role of Residential Camp Counselor at Camp Hollywoodland. This seasonal position is crucial for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children during their camping experience. Counselors will be responsible for supervising campers in an all-day and overnight setting, ensuring their general wellbeing, and creating a positive and engaging atmosphere. The camp operates from 7 am Monday until 9 pm Friday, and counselors are expected to be available for the entire duration of the camp season, which runs from June 10, 2024, through August 9, 2024. Counselors may request one week off during the summer, allowing for some flexibility in scheduling. In this role, counselors will carry out and follow camp programs, identify and meet the needs of campers, and lead a variety of activities designed to promote fun and learning.
