About the position

Ever Well Health is seeking a compassionate Residential Care Assistant to provide essential support to adults facing significant mental or emotional challenges. This role is crucial in creating a safe and nurturing environment for residents, ensuring their daily living needs are met, and contributing to the overall mission of superior care through empathetic treatment.

Responsibilities

• Aids and supports residents in all areas of daily living, both individually and in groups.
• Provides transportation for residents and agency business using agency vehicles.
• Reminds residents of medical appointments and assists with self-administered medications.
• Encourages residents with tasks related to managing medical conditions, such as dietary needs and personal hygiene.
• Leads and engages residents in planned group activities and outings with supervision.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of facility and resident areas.
• Participates in staff meetings, training, and program activities as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid California driver's license and good driving record required.
• Current CPR Certification and First Aid Certificate required.
• Ability to manage emergency situations calmly and effectively.
• Experience in caregiving for at least 1 year is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in emergency management or willingness to be trained in it.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff at all levels.
