The Residential Construction Purchasing Manager will oversee the entire purchasing department for a well-respected home builder in Atlanta, GA. This role emphasizes growth, mentorship, and development of employees, serving as a vital link between the purchasing and estimating departments. The manager will be responsible for negotiating contracts with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in the construction process.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and builders.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast future material needs.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and building codes to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• 2 years of residential production purchasing experience.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings.
• Familiarity with Home Front, Hyphen Solutions, Build Pro, and Supply Pro software is a bonus.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
