About The Position
The Residential Counselor position at Clearbrook involves working in a Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) setting, which is designed for adults aged 18 and older who have developmental disabilities. This role is crucial in providing direct support and active treatment to clients, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance in their daily lives. The position is part-time, with scheduled hours from Friday at 2 PM to Saturday at 9 PM, totaling 31 hours per week. The pay for this role is $20 per hour, and it includes paid training to equip counselors with the skills needed to effectively support clients. Additionally, part-time staff are eligible for a sign-on bonus totaling $750 within their first year of employment, which reflects Clearbrook's commitment to attracting and retaining quality staff. As a Residential Counselor, you will be responsible for implementing individual program plans tailored to each client’s needs. This includes teaching and assisting clients in utilizing community resources, as well as providing support in daily living activities such as personal hygiene, feeding, and housekeeping. You will also facilitate social and recreational activities, helping clients engage in meaningful interactions and experiences.
