About the position

The Residential Counselor position at South Jersey Behavioral Health Resources, Inc. involves providing support and care to adult residents in group homes located in Camden City and Camden County. Counselors will also be responsible for the operation and security of the residential facilities during their shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the well-being of the program's adult residents.
• Promote a normalized environment and philosophy of self-care and independence.
• Support consumer wellness and recovery efforts.
• Facilitate the eventual reintegration of residents into the community.
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and security of the agency's residential facilities during assigned shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with four years of related experience.
• Combination of one or more years of college and one or more years of related experience totaling four years.
• Bachelor's degree in mental health, health, or a related human services discipline.
• Valid driver's license required.
