About the position

RISE Services, a nonprofit human services organization, is seeking a full-time Residential Lead to provide support to adults with developmental disabilities living in RISE residential care. This position requires a dedicated individual who can perform in a leadership role, demonstrating the ability to make independent decisions regarding the program and the individuals being supported. The Residential Lead will be responsible for maintaining necessary records, logs, and other documentation as required, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulations. In this role, the Residential Lead will promote the rights of individuals receiving support and contribute to an environment that is free of abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Establishing partnerships with RISE customers, including individuals receiving support, supervisors, staff, families/guardians, and funding agencies, is essential. The Residential Lead will demonstrate respect and promote choice for clients in the program, ensuring that clean and safe environments are maintained at all times. Additionally, the Residential Lead will be expected to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations and natural disasters according to RISE protocols, which may include fire safety procedures and the application of First Aid and CPR. This position is crucial in ensuring the well-being and safety of the individuals supported by RISE Services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in a leadership role and make independent decisions regarding the program and individuals being supported.

  • Promote the rights of individuals receiving support and contribute to a safe environment free of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

  • Ensure that clean and safe environments are maintained.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations and natural disasters per RISE protocol, including First Aid and CPR.

Requirements

  • Must have a person-centered philosophy and be dedicated to quality supports for individuals.
  • Self-motivated, honest, dependable, and flexible.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities/mental health needs and related field experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid I.D. and be able to pass a background screening.
