About the position

P.I.L.O.T. Services is seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in a part-time capacity. This role is essential in providing support services to adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. Under new leadership, we are excited to implement our "We Care" approach, which emphasizes the importance of both the individuals we support and our dedicated staff. As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will include actively supervising and supporting adults with intellectual disabilities, transporting individuals to various community events, and creating engaging environments that foster growth and development. You will participate in planning community-based activities and engage in various recreational activities such as arts and crafts and cooking. Additionally, you will document the support provided to individuals at the end of each day in our Electronic Health Record system. Our goal is to create a fun and enjoyable daily experience for the individuals we support, making each day something they look forward to.

Responsibilities

  • Actively support and supervise adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.
  • Transport individuals to various trips and local community events for fun and recreation.
  • Create meaningful environments and activities to support interest, growth, and development.
  • Participate in planning and development of community-based activities.
  • Engage in arts and crafts, food cooking, and other activities within our day facility complex.
  • Document supports provided to individuals at the end of the day in our Electronic Health Record.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A verifiable High School Diploma is required.
  • Experience desired, but not necessary; we will train and support you.
  • Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
  • A valid driver's license.
