About the position

The Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) position at P.I.L.O.T. Services involves providing support services to adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. This part-time role focuses on creating meaningful activities and environments that promote growth and development while ensuring a fun and engaging experience for the individuals supported. The DSP will actively supervise and transport clients to various community events and document the support provided.

Responsibilities

• Actively support and supervise adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.
• Transport individuals to various trips and local community events for fun and recreation.
• Create meaningful environments and activities to support interest, growth, and development.
• Participate in planning and development of community-based activities.
• Engage in arts and crafts, food cooking, and other activities within the day facility complex.
• Document supports provided to individuals at the end of the day in the Electronic Health Record.
• Work as part of a team to create a fun, daily experience that people look forward to.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A verifiable High School Diploma required.
• Must have a valid auto driver's license.
• Experience desired, but not necessary; training will be provided.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
