About the position

The Residential Group Home Manager is responsible for overseeing all program services and operations within a residential care facility. This role includes managing personnel, developing programs, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and providing high-quality consumer services. The manager is expected to demonstrate effective leadership and maintain a safe and supportive environment for both staff and residents.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all program services and operations of the residential facility.
  • Supervise residential personnel in accordance with policies and regulations.
  • Conduct performance appraisals for subordinate staff.
  • Hire staff in cooperation with the Human Resources Administrator.
  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll and manage house and consumer finances.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and staff training attendance.
  • Chair monthly staff meetings and ensure accurate minutes are taken.
  • Oversee the implementation of emergency procedures and maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate consumer-specific training with clinical personnel.
  • Distribute medications according to consumer schedules and guidelines.
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and appearance of the home.
  • Conduct regular audits on consumer program documentation.
  • Act as an advocate and role model for consumers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Two years of management experience in a related setting.
  • Two years of direct care experience with developmental disabilities or dual diagnoses.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by the agency's insurance.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and physically intervene when necessary.
  • Demonstrated administrative knowledge in fiscal and personnel management.
