About the position

All Coast Design Build Remodel Inc. is seeking a Residential Interior Designer to join their team in Stuart, FL. This initially part-time contract position is expected to transition into a full-time role, focusing on the design and coordination of residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design and construction, a passion for modern architecture, and a desire for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Create cohesive interior spaces, material and finish specifications, appliances and fixtures.
• Create interior elevation drawings and floor plans, ensuring design vision is implemented in the field through communication with the construction team and field visits.
• Maintain all documentation related to the design process.
• Conduct site measurements and draw accurate as-built drawings.
• Interface with clients and guide them through the design process.
• Develop design concepts and solutions based on direction from project consultants.
• Create complete material finish specification schedules.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and outside teams to accomplish projects.
• Produce accurate drawings including as-built floor plans, proposal floor plans, interior elevations, details, sections, and electrical plans.
• Create cabinet shop level drawings.
• Report weekly billable hours and project tracking to the operations manager and project consultant.
• Organize drawing and specification files.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in interior design of high-end homes.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SketchUp, Revit, or AutoCAD; Chief Architect is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in interior design or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of construction methods and residential construction practices.
• Knowledge of residential plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, etc.
