About the position

The Residential Interior Designer with Remodel Experience is responsible for collaborating with clients to create and execute design concepts that align with their preferences and budget. This role involves overseeing the entire design process, from initial concept development to the final installation of furniture and decor, ensuring that projects are completed successfully and on time.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to determine their design preferences, budget, and timeline
• Create and present design concepts, including floor plans, color schemes, and furniture layouts
• Select and source materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories that align with the client's vision
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of design projects
• Oversee the installation and arrangement of furniture, artwork, and decor
• Provide guidance on lighting design and selection
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in interior design

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Interior Designer or similar role
• Strong sales skills to effectively communicate and sell design concepts to clients
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for creating visual presentations
• Knowledge of lighting sales and design principles
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to interior design projects
• Experience using Revit or other 3D modeling software is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
