About The Position

The Residential Loan Officer at Associated Bank is responsible for originating regulatory compliant residential loan applications and developing client referral relationships with realtors, builders, attorneys, and other centers of influence. This role focuses on expanding and deepening customer relationships by identifying their needs and matching them with appropriate product selections and resources. The position requires monitoring the processing of loan applications and ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of residential loan processing or origination experience with a financial institution or mortgage banking company.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with compliance regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act and S.A.F.E. Act requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Originate regulatory compliant residential loan applications.
  • Develop client referral relationships with realtors, builders, attorneys, and other centers of influence.
  • Expand and deepen customer relationships by identifying needs and matching them with product selections.
  • Monitor the expedient processing of loan applications through regular contact with loan processors.
  • Conduct regular pipeline management of loan applications.
  • Follow up on leads generated by personal effort and bank advertising.
  • Accept and review residential mortgage loan applications for compliance with guidelines.
  • Notify applicants in a timely manner regarding their qualification status.
  • Begin processing qualified applications as quickly as possible.
