About the position

Blue Chip Maintenance LLC is a maintenance vendor that proudly serves property management companies of single-family rental homes throughout Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina. We are a volume and completion business with over 20,000 work orders completed and over 1,400 plus 5 Star reviews. Each position within our company serves a vital function in our team's success. We look for people who have a positive attitude, desire to work hard to continue growing, and are committed to excellence! We are expanding and looking for a supporting Assistant Project Manager to help coach our team of technicians and plumbers. This position requires a person who cares about quality work and customer service. The company does mostly service and residential jobs, but commercial or GC experience would be very helpful. Most work is general handyman type service so it won't require extensive knowledge of construction, but that is a plus if you have it.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the maintenance technicians to ensure work orders and duties are performed to company standards.
  • Create estimates on jobs supervising and ensure appropriate approvals have been given and entered before work is performed.
  • Manage technicians, training, and equipment required to complete the work orders.
  • Process Tech payments by confirming proper job completions.
  • Review pictures of completed jobs and confirm they've been completed properly for quality control.
  • Monitor completed jobs for payroll so the technicians are paid promptly.
  • Coach and develop people to perform at a high level.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in residential construction maintenance.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in commercial or general contracting (GC) work.
  • Ability to express empathy and patience.
