The Maintenance Technician is integral to meeting the objective of delivering quality communities that residents are proud to call home. This role is responsible for maintaining the overall physical condition of the community and providing world-class service to residents. The Maintenance Technician will diagnose maintenance issues, make necessary repairs, and ensure that all resident service requests and other community maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner. This position is crucial in ensuring the successful execution of all company safety and environmental policies and procedures, while delivering the highest level of resident satisfaction through responsive, consistent, positive, and professional interactions. As part of the Maintenance Technician Job Family at Balfour Beatty Communities, this role oversees one or more assets and supervises general maintenance engineers and technicians. The technician will have specific property maintenance responsibilities, including general maintenance and orderliness of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities, and lighting systems, which includes inspections and repairs. The technician will also control the inventory of parts and equipment and coordinate all maintenance-related contractor activities. This position requires working a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 maintenance coverage.
