About the position
The Residential Maintenance Technician at BPG Real Estate Services is responsible for performing general maintenance tasks in residential properties, ensuring that all assignments are completed accurately and in a timely manner. This role involves working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and includes a variety of maintenance duties such as drywall work, painting, and assisting with grounds maintenance. The technician must be available for emergency calls and participate in an on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance on all turnover units and common areas.
- Complete drywall work, painting, and caulking as needed.
- Assist with carpet repairs and cleaning.
- Help with grounds maintenance, including trash removal, watering, and weeding.
- Clean apartments and common areas when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency maintenance duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year of experience in maintenance (electric, carpentry, plumbing, etc.).
- Must possess good communication skills and be self-motivated.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ownership of hand tools is required.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in HVAC maintenance is preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% is preferred.
