About the position

The Residential Plumbing Manager at Village Plumbing is responsible for driving revenue growth and margin expansion in the Houston office. This role involves building a high-performing team, managing plumbing operations, and ensuring that service department goals are met while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Partner with General Manager to drive revenue growth and margin expansion.
• Build and develop a high-performing team in collaboration with the Recruiter.
• Supervise, manage, coach, and develop Residential Service and Install Plumbers.
• Develop, maintain, and report service department goals and results.
• Prioritize meeting revenue and gross profit goals while ensuring timely completion of work to client satisfaction.
• Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with employees, performance reviews, and disciplinary follow-ups.
• Counsel, coach, and train employees to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals and objectives.
• Conduct weekly meetings with the Service Plumbing staff to discuss industry trends, new products, selling techniques, and technical training.
• Ensure compliance with local and state codes and that permits are pulled for applicable jobs.
• Collaborate with Dispatch and Warehouse to ensure work effectiveness.
• Timely submission of service work business data for payroll, billing, accounts payable, vehicle management, and HR functions.

Requirements

• Experience leading and running a plumbing department in the residential sector.
• Extensive managerial experience, with project management and team management experience being a plus.
• Effective and professional communication skills.
• Proficiency in Plumbing Sales, Service, and Installs.
• Proficient in using a computer, tablet, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
• Experience using Service Titan is a big plus.
