About the position

The Residential Program Specialist at Easterseals NH plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs. This position involves working closely with the Program Manager to develop, implement, and monitor program goals while providing direct support to residents. The specialist will also serve as a Peer Guide for new Direct Support Associates, ensuring they receive proper training and orientation. The role emphasizes professionalism, customer service, and community engagement, aiming to empower individuals to achieve greater independence and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing, monitoring, and participating in the development of program goals with the Program Manager.
• Act as a Peer Guide for new Direct Support Associates, providing on-the-job training and program orientation.
• Maintain and document contact with assigned Direct Support Associates for a minimum of six months.
• Demonstrate professionalism and exceptional customer service consistently.
• Assist with preparation and compliance of required documentation as requested by the supervisor.
• Perform direct support responsibilities, including personal care and transportation.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Human Services or related field and 1 year of Direct Support experience, or a High School Diploma and 2 years of Direct Support experience.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and automobile insurance for transportation requirements.
