About the position

The Residential Program Worker (RPW) at Oak Hill is responsible for providing direct support to individuals with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities. This role focuses on empowering individuals to achieve independence and dignity while also promoting professional growth and personal fulfillment for the staff. The RPW will work closely with program participants to assist with personal care, household services, and community activities, ensuring their well-being and development.

Responsibilities

  • Provides information for program maintenance and evaluation, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, licensing, and certification regulations.
  • Maintains program participants' cleanliness, comfort, and well-being, facilitating the development of self-help and daily living skills.
  • Facilitates program implementation by preparing materials for participant-related activities or projects.
  • Promotes and encourages self-administration of medications, administering medication as needed, and documenting medication administration and errors.
  • Observes and reports on changes in behavior and physical and mental appearance to address issues promptly.
  • Applies Emergency First Aid and CPR procedures to protect program participants and employees.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding program participants' information, complying with all applicable policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least age 18
  • Valid driver's license
