About the position

As a Residential Property Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of properties, ensuring efficient and effective management. Your role will involve managing tenant relations, which includes handling lease agreements, rent collection, and addressing tenant inquiries and concerns in a prompt and professional manner. Regular property inspections will be a key part of your responsibilities, allowing you to assess maintenance needs, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with regulations and company standards. You will be tasked with developing and implementing strategic plans aimed at maximizing property performance. This includes focusing on occupancy rates, rental income, and resident satisfaction. Collaboration with leasing agents will be essential to attract and retain qualified tenants, conduct thorough tenant screenings, and manage lease renewals and the move-in/move-out processes. Additionally, you will coordinate and supervise maintenance and repair activities, working closely with the maintenance coordinator to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution of issues. Financial management will also be a significant aspect of your role, as you will prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for the assigned properties. Staying up-to-date with local market trends, rental rates, and industry regulations will be crucial for making informed decisions and optimizing property performance.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Property Manager, overseeing residential or commercial properties.
  • In-depth knowledge of property management principles, practices, and local regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, tenants, and team members.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in property management software (Appfolio) and MS Office Suite.
  • California Real Estate License and/or Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
