About the position

The Residential Property Manager will oversee the operations of an upscale 148-unit apartment community in Westerville, Ohio. This role involves managing property leasing, maintaining resident relations, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-friendly, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Leasing apartments
• Regularly walk the property and vacant units to maintain an attractive curb appeal and look for violations on the property
• Manage and distribute resident correspondence including rent, water bills, insurance and renewals
• Ensure all resident and leasing data are entered correctly into the property management system within a scheduled time frame
• Work with maintenance staff to ensure that move-in/move-out's go smoothly
• Address resident work orders and property issues within a 24/48-hour time frame
• Maintain good relations with residents including handling any complaints, disturbances, questions and concerns
• Oversee and monitor the subcontractor work to ensure it is being completed in a high quality and timely manner
• Order office and property supplies as needed

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience in property management (preferred)
• Ability to manage, as well as work with a team
• Willing to be the backup for every position as needed
• Knowledge and understanding of the Ohio Fair Housing laws and regulations
• Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel and property management software
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, outgoing, customer-friendly and a professional work attitude
• Valid driver's license and vehicle
