About the position

Ridge Valley Exteriors, Inc. is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative specializing in Residential Roofing and Gutters. This role focuses on generating sales through door-to-door efforts, conducting roof inspections, and building customer relationships. The position offers a commission-based salary with uncapped earning potential, allowing representatives to make a significant impact while contributing to community causes such as St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in door-to-door sales to generate leads and build customer relationships.
  • Conduct roof inspections to assess customer needs and recommend solutions.
  • Drive new business by actively prospecting and presenting Ridge Valley Exteriors' services.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and goals while providing excellent customer service.
  • Deliver clear and professional communication with clients throughout the sales process.
  • Attend training sessions to become a Certified Roof Top Expert, learning our products and services thoroughly.
  • Contribute positively to the Ridge Valley Exteriors team culture, collaborating with fellow team members to achieve business objectives.
  • Meet onsite the day of installation to provide customer service during roofing installation, reviewing details with customers, checking in, and closing out the project upon completion.

Requirements

  • 11+ years of sales or customer service experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to pass a background check for employment.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and building trust.
  • Strong drive and motivation to work hard and achieve sales victories.
  • Ability to set up ladders, climb on roofs, work at heights, climb into attics, lift 50lbs, and work in various weather conditions year-round.

Nice-to-haves

  • Roofing sales experience is a plus, but not required (comprehensive training provided).
  • Self-reflective with a willingness to learn and grow in sales.
  • Availability to work five days a week, with Saturdays being the most productive and rewarding.
