About the position
The Residential Services Assistant (RSA) at Lakeside Neurologic plays a crucial role in providing direct care and supervision to clients at the Pediatric Campus. This position is designed for individuals who are self-motivated and passionate about helping others achieve their goals. The RSA will engage in various activities, ensure client safety, and implement behavior plans, contributing to the overall rehabilitation efforts for individuals with brain and spinal cord injuries and behavioral health needs.
Responsibilities
- Treat the clients with respect and dignity.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the clients.
- Implement behavior plans and protocols.
- Assist with activities of daily living.
- Engage in programming or recreational activities with clients.
- Report medical emergencies or medical symptoms.
- Implement protocols and safety techniques.
- Perform data entry.
- Conduct change of shift report and communication.
- Accompany clients on medical transports and recreational outings.
Requirements
- Must be at least twenty-one years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in healthcare, mental health, or behavioral health.
- C.N.A. Licensure preferred but not required.
- Associate Degree preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
- American Sign Language preferred but not required.
