Mpower Energy / Mpower Solar is a New York-based energy supplier and solar installer, specializing in 100% renewable energy. We service residential and commercial customers across nine states and are growing every day! Mpower's success has been largely due to our relentless efforts toward developing our in-house sales staff and having them fast-track through the ranks into leadership roles. Mpower is proud to offer an exciting opportunity for a full-time W-2 Residential Solar Consultant at our Brooklyn, NY office. Our team of appointment setters will schedule qualified appointments for you to meet with homeowners and educate them on the benefits of solar. The Solar Sales Consultant is an integral part of the Solar Division, being the primary point of contact with customers and providing them with details on the benefits of going solar. The ideal candidate will utilize strong critical thinking skills, an ambitious attitude, and a strong work ethic to effectively demonstrate the benefits of partnering with Mpower for their Solar needs. Responsibilities

  • Conduct sales presentations with prospective customers in their home
  • Educate potential clients about the benefits of solar: saving money and the environment
  • Analyze electricity usage, confirm customer wants and needs while developing rapport to enable you to close the sale
  • Manage accounts from an initial consultation to installation
  • Ensure a positive and high-quality customer experience
  • Participate in ongoing training camps focused on increasing your earning potential, team building and mentoring from our leaders

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a canvassing, or customer service position preferred
  • English/Spanish bilingual preferred
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Positive, solution-oriented attitude
  • Outgoing personality
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; own vehicle
