About the position

The Residential Support Specialist at Clayton House is a part-time role focused on providing supervision and support to clients in a residential setting. The position involves facilitating social-rehabilitation groups, ensuring the safety and security of clients, and maintaining documentation of client activities. The role requires working on weekends, specifically Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings, and may involve additional hours in case of staff shortages.

Responsibilities

• Provide milieu supervision of the program and its participants.
• Coordinate and facilitate social-rehabilitation groups and programs.
• Ensure the safety and security of clients and the facility, including conducting substance abuse screenings as directed.
• Conduct individual and group social-rehabilitation and care coordination activities, managing a caseload of identified clients.
• Supervise participants during on-site and scheduled off-site activities, including conducting scheduled room safety checks.
• Maintain confidential progress notes and documentation on client activities.
• Provide necessary approved transportation and perform program-related errands.
• Work past scheduled hours in the event of staff shortages until relief staff can be found.
• Attend all mandatory department and agency meetings and trainings.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Human Services field or high school diploma (G.E.D.) with a working knowledge of substance abuse and/or mental health treatment.
• Strong initiative and time management skills.
• Effective decision-making and communication proficiency.
• Organizational skills and computer competency.
