About the position

The Residential Treatment Technician at Siena Francis House is responsible for coordinating and directing daily activities for individuals in a residential treatment setting. This role involves ensuring proper treatment and care for residents, participating in program activities, and assisting with the planning and implementation of individual treatment programs. The technician will provide direct supervision and support to clients, monitor behaviors, and assist with medication management, all while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct supervision and support of the men and women in Miracles treatment program.
  • Driving a 15-passenger van to transport clients to and from AA meetings and other approved activities.
  • Monitoring residential facilities for safety.
  • Monitoring client's behaviors and implementing consequences as needed.
  • Assisting with self-administered medications and conducting room inspections.
  • Supporting and tracking client attendance at 12-step meetings and other groups.
  • Conducting urinalysis drug screens and intakes, including initial screenings and orientations.
  • Supporting counselors and intake/employment training specialists.
  • Helping program participants develop recovery skills and holding them accountable.
  • Cross-training to assist in shelter areas when needed.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of alcohol and chemical dependency.
  • Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergencies and recognize signs/symptoms of common behavioral health issues.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and all levels of people within the workplace.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with extreme attention to detail.
  • Previous experience working with clients suffering from substance abuse addiction and/or mental illness.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Clean driving record and Nebraska's license.
  • Basic computer skills required.
