About the position

The Senior Services Coordinator will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents aged 62 and up in a senior independent living community. This full-time position involves addressing resident concerns, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with property regulations. The role requires effective communication and coordination with residents, staff, and vendors, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve resident concerns
• Provide superior customer service to all applicants, residents, and former residents
• Communicate clearly and often with residents, colleagues, vendors etc. via email and phone
• Explain and enforce property rules and regulations
• Facilitate resident move ins and move outs, including key distribution and collection of amounts due
• Conduct unit inspections annually or more frequently
• Coordinate maintenance requests from residents and monitor maintenance repairs
• Accurately and efficiently enter data into Yardi
• Other duties as assigned by Site Manager and Area Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in social work, human services or fields related to gerontology
• 2+ years of social services or customer service experience particularly focused on the elderly
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to set and manage multiple priorities
• Previous experience in property management preferred
• Strong work ethic, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and well organized
• Ability to build rapport with older people
