About the position

The Branch Resource Team member plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and proactive sales support within the branch banking environment. This position involves engaging with customers to identify their financial goals and needs, recommending appropriate banking products and services, and processing transactions efficiently. Team members will travel between assigned branches, ensuring a flexible and dynamic work environment while contributing to the overall success of the bank and its customers.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in proactive sales and customer service activities, including teller transactions.
  • Retain and grow consumer and business customer relationships by identifying financial goals and needs.
  • Serve in a concierge role by servicing walk-in customers.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently while balancing daily.
  • Effectively resolve customer issues and provide exemplary customer service.
  • Educate customers on optimizing their use of bank technology (online, mobile, and ATM banking).
  • Identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales process.
  • Educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships.
  • Adhere to all operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of 1 year customer service experience or military service in a relevant role, or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Proficient in consumer deposit products and cash handling skills.
  • Strong comfort level with technology, including mobile and online banking services.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year or more in customer service in banking, financial services, or goal-driven retail sales.
