The Resource Management Manager at Moss Adams is responsible for planning and implementing the firm's people strategy, monitoring staff utilization, and coordinating staff schedules. This role is crucial for enhancing overall firm productivity and ensuring a positive work experience for all staff members. The manager will collaborate with various teams to promote people development and maximize resource utilization while balancing business needs with operational considerations.

  • Manage and maintain scheduling function for assigned client service teams and contribute to resource management strategy
  • Strategically assign staff members to projects with a focus on professional development and leverage
  • Serve as a trusted business advisor to leadership and collaborate with leaders and people team members to formulate and drive the firm's 'People Cornerstone' strategy
  • Demonstrate creativity to identify resources, investigate engagements that may be able to shift time, release staff early or create individual availability in order to meet staffing priorities
  • Communicate and collaborate across locations to share staff resources and best practices
  • Manage conflict resolution by presenting potential solutions and escalate as necessary
  • Develop, analyze and maintain reports to identify trends, forecast staffing needs and manage utilization
  • Connect with all levels to understand career goals, personal preferences and development needs to align with client needs and engagements
  • Work with leadership to manage resource needs related to clients and/or engagements under pursuit
  • Collaborate with key department leaders from Finance and the People Team to aid in developing recruitment metrics and hiring profiles, budget setting and to manage performance and development
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in Human Resources, Business or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a complex organization required, including demonstrated involvement with building and leading high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive culture; experience in project management or resource management in a professional services industry preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire
  • Demonstrated understanding of project economics such as budgeting, leverage ratios and/or profitability
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; previous experience with conflict resolution
  • Ability to establish relationships with and to influence executives
  • Ability to effectively communicate across various levels and to manage delivery of difficult messages
  • Ability to handle confidential information, apply tact and discretion in sensitive situations
  • Ability to travel locally as needed, approximately 30%
