About the position

The Resource Navigator for Successful Termination of Probation is responsible for supporting youth and families in accessing essential programs and services to help them successfully complete probation. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including the San Diego County Probation Department and community partners, to ensure timely connections to resources, educational services, and mental/behavioral health support.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with youth and families in the juvenile justice system.
• Navigate mental/behavioral health and educational systems to connect families with resources.
• Help families identify and coordinate insurance benefits for necessary care.
• Serve as a liaison between youth and various juvenile justice stakeholders.
• Coordinate referrals with service providers to ensure comprehensive support.
• Develop partnerships within the community to address diverse needs.
• Connect youth with additional support systems to enhance their well-being.
• Complete paperwork and data entry accurately and on time.
• Attend required meetings and training sessions to stay engaged.
• Assist with other projects to support the organization's mission.

Requirements

• Experience in project management (1 year required).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including crisis intervention (1 year required).
• Strong organizational skills (1 year required).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize duties with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for effective documentation (1 year required).
• Bilingual in Spanish (required).
